Community

Philanthropy has always been a core practice of any organization that Ranjit Sen founded. CXI’s interest in the community stems from a belief that CXI’s best assets are our people and the community we work in. Our concern for our community can be evidenced through the contributions made by our employees in their personal capacity, as well as the contributions that CXI has made as a company.

Ranjit Sen has been appointed by Governors Mark Warner and Tim Kaine to the Board of Commissioners at the Virginia Port Authority. He is also a:

  • Board member of the American Red Cross
  • Board member of the Maymont Foundation
  • Former board member of Downtown Presents where he served on various committees
  • Board member of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Foundation
  • Board member of the Virginia Performing Arts Foundation
  • Board member of the Greater Richmond Technology Council
  • Member of the Board of Trustees of the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Business Foundation
  • Founding trustee for the Hindu Center of Virginia. Served for 15 years on the Board of Trustees. Chairman for Festival of India for 13 years

In addition, J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College named their new “Smart Class” in honor of Ranjit and Inge Sen.

CXI is involved in many local sponsorship opportunities:

  • Greater Richmond Technology Council (GRTC)
  • Festival of India
  • Employing interns for the GRTC Internship Program
  • Exchange program between Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and India
  • Building an IT Web site for the Maymont Foundation
  • Employing recent graduates from the VCU Fast Track MSIS program
  • An internship / exchange program for interns from South Africa
